Yes, it’s finally here, the long awaited Asian Zensation Scrapbook Party! We have to admit, this party turned out so zensational we can hardly stand it! Chinese food, fortune cookie invitations (both handcrafted and digital), two eye-catching make & take projects, over-the-top decorating ideas, and Asian-inspired games are just the beginning. Get some last minute party planning tips and tricks from Mooshoo Meredith and Sushi Sue in the accompanying podcast. Authenticate the Asian feel of your party by playing songs from the Asian Zensation music playlist. Energizing Asian-themed pop music combined with relaxing traditional oriental music will make you feel like you’ve escaped to a land far away.

No more “dragon” our feet

Well, it’s official!  Susan & I have FINALLY completed our long-awaited Asian Zensation crop!  I can hardly wait to hear what you think.  I promise we weren’t “dragon” our feet.  And now that it’s uploaded to the Crop Room  all we have to do is wait a few hours for our amazing web designer, Michelle (at Treasured Pages.com) to link the crop to the shopping cart.  

 We’ll be sending out all of the details in an upcoming email so be sure to sign up for the newsletter if you haven’t already.  Remember, newsletter subscribers get advanced notice of new crops and contests.

Speaking of contests; there’s still time to get in on our fab K.I.S.S. crop contest.   We are extending the contest deadline to May 5th.  All you have to do to be eligible to win some great scrapbooking products is to purchase the K.I.S.S crop by the May 5th deadline.  The first 45 entry’s will be automatically entered to win.  (Hurry, there’s still a few spots open.) Don’t just think about hosting a crop… do it!  It’s easier than you might think!  All of the contest details are in our April 2009 newsletter.

Care To Crop

I was blessed to stop by and see charity in action at the 2nd Annual Care to Crop charity event held here in Orlando. Crop co-ordinator Meghan Epperly contacted Key Lime for a donation and we were delighted to help out. (She did the work… I just showed up and praised her efforts!) If you live locally, this is one event NOT to miss next year! Extremely organized! Yummy food! Awesome Prizes! Lovely women! And a Great Cause! I am constantly amazed by the generosity and warmth that go hand in hand with the scrapbooking community.  Just LOVE my job!

Long Christmas Break

By looking at our blog you’d think things were a bit quiet here at Key Lime Crops. They were, but not any more! Meredith and I (Susan) took the holidays off. It was a choice between money and memories. We chose memories. For me the incentive was not melting down with holiday stress. I did things different this year. My oldest daughter is a senior, and will be leaving home in less than nine months. It makes you stop and think about priorities. Some of you are in a stage of life that you focus on all the firsts…first step, first tooth, first day of kindergarten. I’m in the stage where I think more about lasts…last Christmas before heading to college, last time sledding in the snow with my daughter, last time painting the walls together. Taking the holidays off was a good decision.

As for Meredith, she got an early Christmas present from her husband. He gave her his office. For the first time she has a scrap space/office of her own! But that meant painting, organizing, moving, sorting, etc.—all during the holiday season. And with Meredith’s warehouse of scrap supplies that was no small task! (Teasing her in public—that’s not very nice is it?!) I’ll get her to post a picture of her new space. It’s very Key Lime! I’d love to see this room in person, wouldn’t you? But now, it’s 2009 and we are back in full gear. We’re a little behind schedule, but we’ve got big plans and big changes in store. We think you’ll love them. In fact, with a fresh new year it’d be a great time to host a fresh new crop! What are you waiting for? It’s time to get the party started!!
